Unmoved by the allegations of amassing immense wealth, followers of babaji who gathered from all parts of the country, unanimously said it was an attempt to malign his image. They said it was all perpetrated by self-proclaimed religious gurus who envied Nirmal Baba and his ever-growing popularity. Such was their enchantment with him that scores of the followers, who were not registered for the samagam, were content having made it to the venue or seen him on the television.
